Bram Esser

Bram Esser is a writer with tendencies towards artistic escapism into other fields. On the first ever exhibition of the Centrum initiative he will display several statues of the Anxiety Hare,an animal which he himself discovered in the social political landscape of the Netherlands. Its characteristics are as follows: The Anxiety Hare (lepus timidus) is a timidous and watchful animal. He has strong powerful hind legs, long spoon shaped ears and staring watchful eyes. He belongs to the family of cyborgs: A large part of his body is still recognizable as a hare, but instead of a head he is equipped with a surveillance camera.Therefore he perceives the world around him always as a potentially dangerous place.
